Game No. 53

Tonight the Phillies go for eight in a row as they battle the Dodgers in LA again tonight. Last night Cole Hamels threw a complete game shutout. He allowed just 5 hits in the game. The Phillies snuck out three runs for him, which was all the offense Cole needed.

The Pitching Matchup:
  • Philadelphia: LHP Jamie Moyer (4-5, 6.75 era) Moyer is 3-5 with a 5.46 era in 11 career regular season starts against the Dodgers. The Dodgers tagged Moyer for 6 runs in and inning and a third last year in the postseason. Moyer won career win #250 in his last game, which was a 4-2 win Sunday vs. the Nationals.
  • Los Angeles: LHP Eric Milton (2-0, 3.14 era) The ex-Phil has resurrected his career with LA this year. He has started three games this year for Dodgers, but hasn't gone past the 5 1/3 inning mark.
